Mapping Jigsaw to the IMYC Middle Years Curriculum (Ages 11-14)

Jigsaw, the mindful approach to PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education) is delighted to share the Fieldwork Education positive philosophy about children and young people’s learning, always keeping the learner at the heart of the work and striving to empower them to be healthy, happy international citizens with agency and voice.

Building on our collaboration with the IPC and Jigsaw 3-11’s contribution to supporting the 8 Personal Learning Goals, the launch of the Jigsaw 11-16 Programme shares ethos and approach with the IMYC (International Middle Years Curriculum).

The attached grids show how the Jigsaw Puzzles(units), Big Questions and Learning Veins (mindfulness, relationship and exploration) support and complement IMYC Unit Themes and Big Ideas.

We hope this helps schools see how using both Programmes will serve their students well.
